Tom Henson has a long and distinguished career as a courtroom lawyer. For over 40 years, he has tried complex civil cases throughout a multi-county area and in federal courts of the Eastern District of Texas. He has been a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers since 1989, having served on its State Committee for 5 years. He also has earned recognition as a Texas Super Lawyer in business litigation from 2007 to the present by Super Lawyers, a Thomson Reuters service. He has been granted an AV peer-review rating by Martindale Hubbell for more than 30 years, and is the recipient of the 2012 Justinian Award.

Tom’s practice has included numerous disputes and lawsuits involving product liability, trucking accidents, commercial issues, breach of contract, breach of warranty, business torts, oil and gas issues, and serving as local counsel in numerous patent cases. He also has an active attorney-mediator practice.

  • Defense of an inspection company in multiple negligence actions involving one death and three other burn victims.
  • Defense of a chemical vendor in a suit by 300 plaintiffs alleging neuropsychological injuries from exposure to industrial solvents.
  • Defense of a manufacturer of clay products in a suit by multiple plaintiffs alleging toxic tort injuries.
  • Defense of a steel pipe manufacturer in a breach of warranty suit involving natural gas leakage due to alleged defects.
  • Defense of a major manufacturer of small engine equipment in multiple suits involving both catastrophic injuries and breaches of warranty.
