Alan Brown wins in premises liability case

A personal injury suit tried, by attorney Alan Brown, in the 114th District Court of Smith County,  submitted to the jury under both a traditional premises liability and a general negligence theories.  Plaintiff sustained  closed head and neck injuries when hit by metal blades of a ceiling fan, allegedly causing her to fall from a ladder,  while working at defendant's residence.  Defense position was that occurrence  resulted from plaintiff's own negligence.  Damages sought in excess of $600,000.00.  Jury found plaintiff more than fifty percent responsible, resulting in the entry of a take nothing judgment.
