Josh Ellis, an East Texas native from Atlanta, Texas, joined Ramey & Flock in 2020, and he supports the firm’s litigation practice.
Prior to joining Ramey & Flock, Josh worked as a litigation paralegal in Dallas for 15
years, including the four years while he pursued his law degree. During his career as a
paralegal, Josh worked on complex commercial litigation matters, intellectual property,
and employment matters for several large law firms.
Josh also worked as a paralegal for two national labor and employment law firms where
he served as part of a team that counseled clients on employment matters and advised
and defended employers faced with claims involving employment discrimination,
harassment, retaliation, wage and hour violations, unfair competition, noncompetition,
and trade secrets. Also, he assisted employers with reduction in force, including conducting WARN and disparate impact analysis.
Josh also has considerable experience in consumer finance, having developed litigation
strategies for defending clients against claims involving the Fair Debt Collection Act, the
Texas Debt Collection Act, the Texas Deceptive Trade Practice Act, and Telephone
Consumer Protection Act.
